GLH Mid-Michigan All-Conference Teams

Big Nine All-Conference Team

Coach of the year: Chris Belcher, Grand Blanc

First-year coach has a mind for the game and proved it this season. Grand Blanc met and exceeded every expectation.

Starters:

Demondre Chapman  6’5”  Sophomore  Flint Carman Ainsworth

The young man has hit another athletic gear, which coupled with his size and strength should secure his future as a division one player. Now he just needs polish.

Tyler Moreland  6’3”  Senior  Flint Powers Catholic Central

One of the finest ball-handlers and finishers statewide. Extremely cerebral guard that’s a terror on the other end of the ball too, particularly in the passing lanes.

Shane Moreland  6’2”  Junior  Flint Powers Catholic Central

Slick guard with no real flaws. He’s a lock-down defender, good ball-handler and deadeye shooter.

Kieon Arkwright  6’0”  Senior  Flint Carman Ainsworth

The conference’s most improved player. Kieon outshined his higher-ranked teammates all year long.

Adrian Hunter  5’11”  Senior  Grand Blanc

The Big Nine’s player of the year. Adrian played out of position most of the year, but excelled regardless. He had big games when the Bobcats needed them, like against C-A and Powers.

Starters:

Darryll Stinson  6’6”  Senior  Jackson

Started out slow, but turned in a fantastic season. A Brahma bull that could play division one basketball, but opted for football instead.

Charlie Woods  6’6”  Senior  East Lansing

Probably the most improved player in the state. Mr. Triple-double dominated the boards and scored at a pretty good clip. The conference’s player of the year.

Lansing’s best player out of the 2009 class. Drew can do it all, and at a high level, but plays post for an undersized, guard-heavy Sexton.
